Herbert, a Nubian Goat, passed away on May 10, 2009.

Herbert came to us with his two life-long Alpaca buddies, Nahid and MoMo (we believe that Herbert thought himself an Alpaca!). All were born around 1997—while Herbert was quite aged for a goat, Nahid and MoMo are considered middle-aged for Alpacas. Nahid was devastated for days after Herbert's passing.

Pony Hill, the section of the sanctuary where he lived, is not the same without our beautiful Herbert.
