Matt & Bridgette were purchased at the Catskill Game Farm auction when it closed its doors in 2006.
In 2006, Equine Advocates rescued seven small equines from the Catskill Game Farm in upstate New York. The game farm had shut its
doors and 1000 animals, including 27 equines, were put up for auction. We ended up with three donkeys and four ponies. Except for
one, all have physical and/or respiratory problems. Two of the equines we rescued, a Miniature Pony and a Miniature Donkey were
in foal. Most of our small equines live in a specially-created area of the sanctuary called Pony Hill.
