Meet the Residents of the Equine Advocates Sanctuary

Equine Advocates Rescue & Sanctuary, currently the home of rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules—plus two pygmy goats, has truly become a haven for horses. It is an equine village where horses get to live out their lives in a natural environment that allows them to socialize with each other. If you would like to help the horses living at Equine Advocates Sanctuary, please visit Sponsor a Horse.

Freddie is a sweet-tempered gray Thoroughbred gelding born on March 13, 1993. He raced 51 times, primarily at Finger Lakes. After his racing career was over at age eight, he went on to the show circuit and had several homes over the years before he arrived at the sanctuary in December 2011. Freddie hangs out with two other Thoroughbreds, Harry & Banner, in “The Grumpy Old Men’s Field.”

Freddie is proudly sponsored, in part, by a supporter from Ontario, Canada.
