Equine Advocates Rescue & Sanctuary, currently the home of rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules—plus two pygmy goats, has truly become a haven for horses. It is an equine village where horses get to live out their lives in a natural environment that allows them to socialize with each other. Matt
 
Matt is a Shetland Pony rescued with six other equines from an upstate New York animal park where they auctioned off over 1,000 animals on October 18, 2006. Equine Advocates raised the funds to purchase these animals to keep them from going to dealers, petting zoo operators and indiscriminate backyard breeders. Matt's good looks inspired one of our visitors to nickname him "Brad Pitt." |
