Meet the Residents of the Equine Advocates Sanctuary
Equine Advocates Rescue & Sanctuary, currently the home of rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules—plus two pygmy goats, has truly become a haven for horses. It is an equine village where horses get to live out their lives in a natural environment that allows them to socialize with each other. If you would like to help the horses living at Equine Advocates Sanctuary, please visit Sponsor a Horse.

Scarlet
Scarlet, a Quarter Horse mare, was in foal when she was purchased by Equine Advocates in 2000 at a Winnipeg, Canada slaughter auction. She had been adopted but since has come back to us. At Cornell University College for Veterinary Medicine, Scarlet was operated on for ringbone in both ankles. She was also successfully treated for a cancerous sarcoid on the top of her left leg here at the sanctuary. Scarlet loves spending her days with her pasture-mates, Presley,Taco & Sapphire, in the area we call "Guys and Dolls". |
