Sponsor an Equine at Equine Advocates Sanctuary

Choose the Equine you wish to sponsor:
Our residents at Equine Advocates Sanctuary need constant care. Many are aged or have health problems because of the abuse and neglect they suffered before being rescued. Your sponsorship of one of our equine residents will go a long way in helping us in our continuing efforts to provide a happy life for the animal you choose.
We have many sponsorship options available—you choose!

Josephine is a half-blind Standardbred mare who had been a buggy horse. Equine Advocates rescued her in 2001 from a farm in Pennsylvania Dutch Country. She was adopted the same year, but came back to us in 2008 after the woman who adopted her passed away. Josephine spends her days with Gracie & Elinore in an area we call "Three's Company."

The abuse of buggy horses, work horses & mules by some farmers is an issue which EA has dealt with many times over the years. The only way to discourage the over-breeding of these animals is for the federal ban on horse slaughter to finally become law.

Josephine is proudly co-sponsored by supporters from Madison, Connecticut and Argyle, Texas.
