In Loving Memory of Max Weintraub

Equine Advocates’ 11th Annual Awards Dinner and Charity Auction.

Max was a great friend to Equine Advocates and we are so saddened by his passing. He loved horses and cared deeply about their well being. He was a sponsor of our beautiful, Dolly, a rescued Percheron mare. One was very fortunate to have the opportunity to spend time with Max. He was an incredibly kind and compassionate person. Max, you will be sorely missed, RIP.

We are reprinting his obituary from the New York Times –
Loving and beloved father of Aviva Weintraub, and father-in-law of Gordon Tapper, Max Weintraub has died at the age of 92. Max was a WWII veteran (CBI Air Transport), retired adman, avid participant on horseback trail rides in Arizona, longtime public school volunteer, off-off-Broadway music impresario, and so much more. A lifelong New Yorker who loved spending summers in Vermont, he never forgot his roots on the Lower East Side. Sweet, generous and kind, friend to many, and devoted to his extended family, he was a gentleman and a gentle man.
