PMU Industry: What You Can Do
The merger of Pfizer and Wyeth (the producers of PMU drugs) in 2009 was a huge disappointment for those who had hoped that this might have been the beginning of the end of the inhumane, archaic, and unnecessary PMU industry. Instead, Pfizer has continued the cruelty and brutality by producing the same series of drugs, including Premarin, Prempro/Premphase, and DUAVEE, instead of safer bio-identical hormones that can just as easily be made in a laboratory rather than using, abusing, and exploiting horses to produce drugs that contain equine estrogens and impurities that its makers have still not been able to identify since 1942 which poses serious health risks to women.
Boycott Pfizer products and encourage your friends and family to do the same!

Talk to your Doctor
We encourage you to talk to your doctor about alternative medications that do not cause suffering to horses and health risks to you. Ask them to consider not prescribing PMU drugs to any women for these reasons. If your doctor is unaware of how these drugs are made and/or the dangers they pose, print out copies of our PMU Fact Sheet and the Letter for your OB/GYN Doctors from Dr. Ray Kellosalmi and ask that they read them. They, and you, can share this information with patients, friends, and family.
