Wild Horse Crisis: What You Can Do

Onaqui, a Wild Mustang, was part of a brutal 5-day roundup in 2021 where more than 300 wild horses in the Onaqui Mountain Herd Management Area lost their freedom and their families.

 

  • Contact the U.S Interior Secretary and tell them you strongly support the protection and preservation of America’s Wild Horse and Burro herds. Also, let them know you oppose the Bureau of Land Management round-ups and the selling or sending of Wild Horses and Burros to slaughter.
  • Contact the U.S. President and Vice President and your two US Senators and let them know that you want to see legislation passed to reinstate the protection of America’s Wild Horses and Burros stripped away by the Burns Amendment of 2004.
