Paddock Graphics

Throughout the sanctuary, we have a graphic at each paddock that features the equines who reside there. The graphic generally provides the ages and breeds of the horses and the circumstances from which they were rescued.

Visitors learn about the areas and industries from which we rescue equines: PMU mares and their foals (the pregnant mares’ urine industry for making hormone replacement drugs), Wild Mustangs and Burros, Thoroughbred and Standardbred racing, work horses and mules from traditional Pennsylvania farms, carriage horses, riding stable/dude ranch horses, camp horses, show horses, and petting zoo donkeys and miniature horses.
