Pat was a Miniature Donkey who sadly passed away on January 29, 2013.

Equine Advocates rescued Pat on October 18, 2006, from an animal auction when a New York animal park closed. Her feet were in terrible shape from poor care and neglect. Pat was in foal at the time of her rescue. On April 30, 2007, she gave birth to Casey, who lives on “Pony Hill” at the sanctuary. Pat and her best friend, Lisa, were inseparable.

Pat’s sponsors, Kelley and Sheila, helped bring her around from being an untrusting and shy animal to one that loved attention.

The barn will never be the same without Pat. She will be sorely missed.
