Casey, a Miniature Donkey, was born on April 30, 2007 here at the sanctuary. Casey’s dam, Pat, was pregnant with Casey at the time of her rescue from an upstate NY petting zoo. Sadly, Pat passed away on January 29, 2013. Casey is an absolute joy! He is best friends with two other donkeys named Reggie (from the same rescue as Casey’s dam) and Franklin, who came to the sanctuary in 2010. These three are inseparable and are affectionately known as “The Three Amigos.” You will find Casey on “Pony Hill” with his donkey friends and three miniature horses.
