Gloria
From: $50.00 / month
Gloria is a Pony Mare born in 2017. She reportedly was Amish-bred and was dumped in an Ohio kill pen while she was pregnant and disabled from an old injury. Fortunately, she was saved by Gerda’s Equine Rescue based in Vermont. As Gerda does not have a sanctuary and adopts out most of the equines that she rescues, we have given homes to several of them over the years as we have occasionally needed special companions for some of our residents whose pasture mates have passed or situations here have changed. Gloria gave birth to a healthy foal while still at Gerda’s. Due to her physical limitations, it was determined that Gloria was best suited for retirement in a sanctuary after her foal was weaned. We accepted her into our program on August 18, 2022. As we do not know her exact date of birth, we celebrate her “Re-Birth-Day” on the date of her arrival.
