Gomez is an absolutely gorgeous Mule born on April 26, 2001. Equine Advocates rescued him and his mother, a Percheron named Dolly, from an Ohio Amish farm in 2001 along with a Clydesdale mare named Queen and her offspring Gizmo, another handsome mule. The two mules were placed in a foster home in New Hampshire while their mothers stayed at a farm in New York until we established our sanctuary in 2004. Gomez and Gizmo eventually arrived at our sanctuary in 2010.
Dolly and Queen sadly passed away in 2022, but Gomez and Gizmo still happily live together in a large field we call “Mule Town.” Gomez has the distinction of wearing the largest halter at the sanctuary—Size 100! Gizmo comes close with a size 90.
