Lily, a Draft Cross, was born on April 25, 2004, to former PMU (Pregnant Mares’ Urine) mare Jill, who was pregnant with Lily at the time of her rescue. Jill sadly passed away on March 5, 2018. Lily, her pasture mate Suzie, and their dams were the first horses to arrive at the sanctuary after it was established on June 1, 2004. Lily and Suzie live with a Thoroughbred named Gracie in a pasture we call “Girls Just Want To Have Fun.”
