April Showers Bring May Flowers – And Lots of Birthday Parties!

April is an exciting time of the year for us at the sanctuary. Both humans and equines venture out more to enjoy the warmer spring weather, our staff prepares for the upcoming Public Open Day season, and it’s the busiest birthday month for our equine residents!

15 of our 80+ equines were born in April. While we don’t know the exact birth date of every equine we’ve rescued, we estimate that others were born around this time, so we celebrate them too!
