Equine Advocates Rescues SUNY Cobleskill School Horses

Three former “school horses,” all registered Thoroughbreds were rescued by Equine Advocates from being sent to auction on December 5, 2010. All three are geldings who raced and then entered into “second careers” as school horses for the Equine Studies Program at SUNY Cobleskill, part of the State-run university school system in New York. It is unconscionable that an educational institution like SUNY Cobleskill would teach its students that it is okay to discard horses by sending them to auction.
